Kennedy refers to herself as Kennedy. The fact that other people use Schlossberg does not have anything to do with what she calls herself. Her name is Kennedy. I have proven it. End of story. Re: Is Caroline K a done deal? - Mac1337 - 12-19-2008 Why do Democrats have so much trouble with their names? Is Maria Shriver next? I can't believe you guys have so little to do that you can sit around making up things to argue about. Useless things to boot. I assume all of you are residents of New York so that the appointment to fill Hillary's soon to be vacant senate seat is of great concern to you? Re: Is Caroline K a done deal? - $tevie - 12-19-2008 I am just tired of people attacking Democrats for things like their names. I am not going to be polite about it, either. Stupid is as stupid does and that nonsense is stupid. Re: Is Caroline K a done deal? - Wags - 12-19-2008 Actually $tevie, I think you hit the nail on the with the maiden name thing. The conservatives are threatened by women with power. That's been made abundantly clear with all the personal attacks on liberal women political figures. Those attacks differ from the ones aimed at Palin which were generally about her lack of experience, lack of intellect and her hypocrisy. The hate mongers on the right often devolve into snide remarks about women's appearance and lack of femininity - attributes that have nothing whatever to due with their fitness to lead. It also ties in with the evangelical misogynistic bs about the woman's "place" in the family. Heaven help the woman that won't accept her husband's name and dominance. Re: Is Caroline K a done deal? - MacGurl - 12-20-2008 Humm, I'm a Democrat. I'm married. I don't use his name, rather I kept my maiden name (since I have my own business and also have name recognition attached to that business). Other people making the mistake of using his name instead of mine doesn't make it so that his name is now mine, no matter how much they insist or wish it were so. I must be evil.
