•Author name is still too big & ugly at the current size. (smaller & bolder, maybe?)

•Date & time could be smaller. (same size as the Ignore/PM) type)

•Alternating the grey/white between posts would really improve readability. ( or increasing the box stroke, or losing the white space between the posts...in general tightening up the dead space. )

IMHO Wink

I'm using Firefox 2.0. I might have misunderstood what the request to change the color of links meant. My complaint (and actually it's a real complaint, not just something that is of transient annoyance) is the fact the thread titles do not change color after I've read them. I could have sworn it was changing to a lighter shade earlier today. It's certainly not now, and I closed FF and reopened it, thinking that might help. Not.

Am I the only person seeing this? Or, rather, not seeing this?

I am seeing exactly the same thing with Firefox 2.0. They are blue before reading them and blue after reading them. No visual difference between threads that have been read and those that have not. I'm not noticing any change in behavior in this area since the big switch yesterday.

EDIT: Right after I posted this I checked again, now I am seeing a color change.
After a bit more time looking at things, it's still not quite the same as it was before the big switch.

The color is now changing from blue to purple after reading a thread, but if someone posts new content to that thread it changes back to blue. So there is no visual way to differentiate threads that one has visited before but have new posts from threads that you have never visited.

In the past the purple color used to stick around even when new posts were added, but the "xx new" red tag would appear to let you know that there was new content in that previously read thread.

I don't view this as "fixed" yet. Am I missing something?

This stuff at the bottom of the page is kind of messy.

The problem gets worse if I zoom the text a bit, which I do often.

I think that if you...

  * Remove the gray box from the "Goto" text (which would make it match the 'Goto" text at the top of the page);

  * Remove the redundant "Mark Read" link; and

  * Put the "Log Out" link at the top of the page (where most people would probably reflexively look for it instead of on the "Goto" line),

...and make corresponding changes to the "Goto" line at the top of the page as well, that would help dramatically.

Hmm... Maybe the "Mark Read" link at the bottom of the page isn't redundant as I thought it was... Simply viewing this thread isn't marking all of the posts read.

Is that a bug or is it a feature?

Why so much space between the user's name, PM, & Ignore this user?

i concur. i've mentioned it before but perhaps not as clearly.
