For Precious and GeneL - birdmanjeff - 07-10-2010 Here is Chloe. This Picture was taken Christmas day a couple years ago. I need some new pictures though. Chloe is 15 years old this year. ![]() Re: For Precious and GeneL - TheCaber - 07-10-2010 Happy Birdday to you, Chloe! (and Happy Birdday to Precious!) Re: For Precious and GeneL - freeradical - 07-10-2010 What kind of a bird is this, and how long do they normally live? Re: For Precious and GeneL - Jimmypoo - 07-10-2010 It will probably outlive its owner! btw Jeff, how IS your arterial plaque these days? Re: For Precious and GeneL - Speedy - 07-10-2010 It'll outlive most of us on the forum. Re: For Precious and GeneL - prymsnap - 07-10-2010 Hi, cutie! From Sydney J. Her hatchday is actually January 8th but I am sure she accepts the birthday wish all the same. I have raised hundreds of birds (mostly very small parrots) but Cockatoos and Macaws are very difficult to raise by hand and have issues for life if they are raised wrong or have problems with inexperienced owners(I hate that term owners. Precious is a lovely Goffin's Cockatoo and a bit smaller than Chloe (I will try to find my photo of Chloe with her Goffin "brother" Cobber) Goffin's are a favorite of mine but I do not have one myself. I do have a Molluccan Cockatoo and a Ducorps Cockatoo I will post photos of soon. And here I thought it was all dogs, snakes, and hamsters here, LOL. Re: For Precious and GeneL - Carnos Jax - 07-10-2010 Dayum...I never knew they could live so long! Since it seems they're a parallel evolution with mammals, they're very intelligent. Re: For Precious and GeneL - AllGold - 07-10-2010 Not my bird but she is one the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen. ![]() ![]() ![]() These are a couple years old and I don't recall a lot of the details (she wasn't part of the story) but I do remember she has a 100+ year lifespan. Re: For Precious and GeneL - iaJim - 07-10-2010 Since there are some bird people here, I have a question. Are those "cracks" on the bill places where they once broke the bill and it grew back, or is it something else? |
