any free iphoto-like software for a Pismo? - abevilac - 07-16-2010
I'm giving my old Pismo to my brother who wants to use it for his camera and ipod [gave him that last xmas] in a non-internet setting. It's running 10.4.11 - a G3 400 MHz w/ 768 ram. It has an iTunes on it but somehow the iPhoto was not installed. Are there any free and basic photo sorters out there. I couldn't find a Picasa that works on PPC just intel versions. Thanks.

you should be able to find an old version of iLife cheap.

Wasn't iPhoto initially free? Are the 1.0 versions still floating around somewhere?

Yes, it was free at one time. My problem is that I am visiting PA and my old versions of sys disks and old iLifes are all in IN and I'm trying to get this admittedly old machine to just do a few limited things that it should be able to run reasonably well. If only I can find the right software...

Finally found a version of Iphoto 1.1.1 on Apple's site that is available. If anyone in future needs it:
