YouTube/Google question - wurm - 07-19-2010 Way back when I thought I'd hardly ever use YouTube, I signed up for an account using a nonsensical name, specifically not tied to my real name. Over time, I've added favorites, and even subscribed to a couple of channels. Some time after that, I signed up for a couple of Gmail accounts. I generally stay signed into my main account at Google, which clearly relates to my real name. You can guess where this is going. Now that Google owns YouTube, and since that account is not the same as my YouTube account, I have to keep signing back into YouTube to access my Favorites, etc. Any easy way around this? Or am I just going to have to copy/paste links to my favorites in my one YouTube account to get them into my "new" account? Re: YouTube/Google question - Rolando - 07-19-2010 I am signed into Google, Amazon and Youtube and Here on Safari, other things on Firefox. Works for me. Re: YouTube/Google question - Mini 9 - 07-19-2010 Yes, Google has recently been screwing with the Gmail-&-YouTube login relationship. I hate them (more) for that. Re: YouTube/Google question - wurm - 07-19-2010 Well, I did a little more investigating under the Help category, and it turns out I can unlink them fairly easily. For anyone else who's interested, try this link. Re: YouTube/Google question - wurm - 07-20-2010 Never mind. It didn't work. Grrrr..... |
