iTunes 9.2 bug fix - deckeda - 07-20-2010
iTunes 9.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes, including:
• Disables older versions of some incompatible third-party plug-ins
• Addresses minor issues with dragging and dropping items
• Addresses a performance issue when first syncing to some devices with iTunes 9.2
• Addresses an issue upgrading to iOS 4 on an iPhone or iPod touch with encrypted back-ups
• Addresses other issues that improve stability and performance

I just want them to fix iOS4 on an iPhone 3G so that it doesn't feel like marching through molasses. Worst upgrade for iPhone so far in my opinion...then again, my phone doesn't really gain any of the benefits of the new OS and it really has gained all of the negative aspects.

Have you reset the settings on your phone (not erase any data/music)? I did that on my 3G, and while it initially sped up significantly the phone, it has slowed back down a good bit. Try it, and you'll have to re-set a bunch of settings, but the speed boost is worth it.

Yep, I did that. It worked great for a day or two, then back to molasses. I wanted iBooks primarily, but it is so slow that it is all but unusable. I fought my way through 1 book, but I won't do that again.
