TIVO deal (RYF?) - space-time - 10-08-2010 I just saw this at slickdeals I don't have a TIVO and I don't know if this is really a good deal, but they have the hot burning icon there next to this deal, so it may be a RYF after all. Re: TIVO deal (RYF?) - Trouble - 10-08-2010 You still have to purchase a subscription or pay month to month, but once you start using Tivo you will wonder how you ever got along without it. I've always gotten the lifetime deal. Anyway, read all opinion over there before pulling the trigger The HD interface (the menu screen) is very cluttered with tons of stuff on the screen, including a window showing one of the tuners, but I've never had any "buggy" issues. That being said, I prefer the standard menu. Standard definition is a bit misleading, TiVo should have called it the classic menu. Like the colonel said though it's not buggy. The SD menu in comparison is much faster, gets the job done great, and is familiar to anyone who's owned a TiVo in the last 8 or 10 years. I recently cancelled cable and went with a TiVo and an antenna. I'm loving it! |
