Today: $1,199.99
This computer powers on and is functional. Unit has fresh OS installed. Software for this system has not been updated from original factory OS disk. For full functionality updates are needed to be dowloaded from manufacturer. Damage: Unit has some minor scratching and signs of use.

Or is there something I'm missing about this particular MacBook?

'Looks like a demo unit.

Also looks like it might not qualify for AppleCare... or else they're just hiding the warranty info to sell you one of their own warranties.
