The media frenzy surrounding this case did not serve justice well, and the political shark tank attack on Congressman Condit was a good part of that failure.
When the media gets involved in 'solving' a case, it stomps all over clues like a heffalump in heat,, making it almost impossible to properly render justice. I would LOVE to see a few media wonks get arrested and jailed for interfering with an investigation in a case like this one.

I agree..much like what happened to Richard Jewell in the Atlanta Olympic Park bombings.
