I found a pack of casette tapes when I cleaned my garage last year.

31 years is still pretty good, lets see if the iPod can stick around for 31 years. The Macintosh hasn't even been around that long yet.

now I know how Joan of Arc felt

I never realized that was what Moz was singing.

I only had one Walkman, having never been much of a fan of portable cassette music (but always played them in the car.)

It was either a WM-10 or WM-20. They look alike, I forget which. It's in the basement somewhere.

I wonder why they're keeping the Walkman name.

Young people have no idea what a Walkman is.

The original Walkman was actually called the Soundabout, beautiful blue aluminum case, very classy. I still have mine, and it would be worth quite a bit if my idiot brother-in-law didn't burn out the motor (and not even bother to tell me he did it). Sigh...

Yep, then he changed it to iPod on one of the tours and it just "stuck".

I never had a Walkman. I think I had a knock off as a kid. Probably the equivalent of a Zune Wink

My fave was the one that was the same size as a cassette case. Fit quite nicely into a slot in my (friggin' huge) tape carrier.
