Tax cuts will trickle down to job creation! - beagledave - 12-09-2010 Well, except no. I thought that the party line for the Republicans is that tax cuts for the wealthy were not really for the wealthy individuals but were instead job creation stimulus? Re: Tax cuts will trickle down to job creation! - Mac1337 - 12-09-2010 There are no tax cuts. Stop repeating a fallacy. The correct way of saying it is keeping taxes what they are won't create jobs. You have to actually cut them. Your side advocated them because they would stimulate small business hiring. Fail. Re: Tax cuts will trickle down to job creation! - OWC Jamie - 12-09-2010 They've been called Bush Tax cuts since 2001 and 2003 If you want to call them by their ACT names or even their acronyms you're more than welcome to. no one in their right mind is going to call, them keeping taxes what they are won't create jobs. Re: Tax cuts will trickle down to job creation! - cbelt3 - 12-09-2010 You guys missed the main part of the article. Small Business hiring (and large business hiring) is enabled by access to capital. Not access to the "Capitol". Banks got bailed out (It's a TARP !.. thanks, Admiral). They did not extend the credit to small businesses. While increasing taxes would have a negative effect on overall employment (not extending the expiring tax rates would have the direct effect of being a tax increase, OK ? ), without access to capital the effect of an extension will not be dramatic, because businesses won't see a change. NOW.. if the tax increases are allowed to go into effect, I would expect you can plan on a Recession Part II. Re: Tax cuts will trickle down to job creation! - john dough - 12-09-2010 Some here think that if they keep chanting something, over and over, it will become real. My taxes went down in 2009 and will in 2010; it has nothing to do with being a 1099 earner, my wife is a W-2 earner and her taxes have gone down as well. It is truly pathetic when you present facts to some and they are still in denial of what is happening all around them. Maybe that is why they vote how they do (or send money to candidates on the far fringe). Re: Tax cuts will trickle down to job creation! - $tevie - 12-09-2010 It was established during the Reagan years that "trickle down" is a euphemism for "golden showers".
