iPod Nano 6th Gen battery indicator - celliott - 12-24-2010 I've looked around and can't find a definitive answer.Just got a 6th gen Nano. The battery is fully charged I think, but the indicator is all white unless I access a function such as playing a song, in which case it turns green and shows the approximate charge. Go back to the "desktop" or main screens and it turns white again. It appears you have to be doing something to get a reading. A couple of questions: 1- I assume that's normal? 2- Why? Why can't you just look at the indicator at any point and see the charge like all other iPods? Re: iPod Nano 6th Gen battery indicator - Black - 12-24-2010 I just noticed this on my "new" 5th gen. I had a little scare when I grabbed it to head out yesterday, thinking it was drained. Played around and noticed it's green in other windows. So my input is: 1) Yes, Normal for at least the 5th/6th gens (-not- the third, dunno about the 4th because I skipped it) 2) Why: for the sake of change. I don't like it either. Re: iPod Nano 6th Gen battery indicator - celliott - 12-24-2010 I've never used a 5th gen, but my 3rd has green all the way. It's strange to see it white and not be sure if it's fully charged or not. I haven't been able to find an explanation anywhere. But thanks, I was wondering. Seems to be normal function. |
