The stock has been de-listed. It is now Disney's baby and Stevoreno is a big board member.

This makes me ill... Can't wait for the Pixar division of Disney to start doing Beauty and the Beast or new Goofy or Micky Cartoons in CGI...

Pixar VP John Lasseter will be Chief Creative Officer of the animation studios, as well as Principal Creative Advisor at Walt Disney Imagineering, where he will provide his expertise in the design of new attractions for Disney theme parks around the world..

So what happens to the stock owners? I used to have a few shares of Pixar, but sold them. Just wondering what would have become of my shares if I still had them.

they give you Disney stock. . .I just checked and I think it was 3 for 1 (3 Disney for each share of Pixar).
so my Pixar stock which went up quickly and did very well, was exchanged for cr**ppy Disney stock.

Bill, your pessimism is unwarranted. It suggests Pixar's creative magic will be enslaved by Disney's dullness, when it's the other way around, Disney studios are just a bigger playground and a bigger budget for Pixar's already flawless creative output.

Man, I know this dates me, but I can remember (as a little kid) when Disney's touch was *golden*. Now the parks are the tourist traps he built them to be the antithesis of, their film group is sh*t, and they're selling freaking tissue paper with the characters on them "to raise brand awareness".
Storming the Magic Kingdom, indeed.
