Tough Rebel XT travel case? - Mark (nonick) - 05-09-2006

I've been shooting an Indy film for the past month, and we lugged a big camera bag all over the place so we could take our Rebel XT Production stills.

Question: Has anyone seen a nice, small, tight backpack or (unfashionable) hip-pack that can accommodate a Rebel XT and it's standard 18-55mm lens?

By tight, I mean the camera is snug, but the bag is also snug to the body to keep it from snagging trees and other environmentals. I don't need to carry anything else in the bag, the camera and lens will do. I guess it's less of a travel bag and more of a practical in-use carrier?

Thanks

the rebel xt with the kit lens is so small you can put it in a purse--heck, I can fit it in the front pocket of my goretex raincoat. A backpack would be overkill. Any camera store should have a small lowepro waist belt or over-the-shoulder case.
