So no receipts from the Mac App Store like in iTunes? - Jerry® - 01-08-2011

You all know when you buy stuff from iTunes, you are emailed a receipt. Apparently the Mac App Store doesn't do this? Not that it matters. If were to do it, you'd have to be given the option of entering your contact email address since not all Apple IDs are "in service." For example - my Apple ID is futtbucker@mac.com and there is no "mac.com" anymore and I do not have a mobile me account.

I dunno why I'm posting about this. ?

I got one a day after the download- iPhoto and Aperture. Sometimes it takes Apple a little while to get them out in my experience.

On the rare occasions I've used the iTms to buy music, I've found the receipts came stoopid-late.
My assumption was that it automatically waited in order to send one receipt for multiple purchases, as some folks may be inclined to pop in and out for songs several times in the course of a day and someone with particularly poor impulse control would end up with an inbox full of Apple messages.

But - in the Account settings for the App Store - there's no field to indicate your REAL email address if different from your Apple ID.

I stopped getting receipts from iTunes long ago but if I buy a $50 App I would expect some kind of receipt,
I understand it with a .99 song or App.

if you buy several songs from iTunes, one song at a time, do they charge your Credit Card each time, of they wait several days and make a lump charge? I think the CC companies charge merchants a small fee for each transaction, so it may make sens for Apple to wait 2-3 days and charge you for 10 songs, rather then 10 small charges of 99 cents each.

I wonder if that is also maybe a strategy for Mac App store?
