need new luggage - Fritz - 05-09-2006 I've had a CostCo 22" roller for about 5 years. It served me well. But it's looking rough around the edges and has a broken zipper. CostCo has a 26" of the same design for about $120. Overstock, eBags and others have some name brand sets for close to that price. Then there's Marshalls and the like. Has anyone bought Overstock, eBag or other luggage and found any difference or whatever? it's a broad question I know. But ColdPlay is on the radio. They make it difficult for me to think clearly. Re: need new luggage - NewtonMP2100 - 05-09-2006 I've read that people love the Costco Kirkland stuff. . .and the Costco policy helps. . .never had any personally experience though. Re: need new luggage - N-OS X-tasy! - 05-09-2006 You should be able to get a free replacement for the Costco luggage, if you so choose. Re: need new luggage - Harbourmaster - 05-09-2006 Take it back to Costco and show them the broken zipper and they will give you a nice new one in exchange! Re: need new luggage - ATT - 05-10-2006 I had to buy new luggages last year. After searching for quite awhile (mostly department stores, and outlets), I decided to go with the Marshall stuff. However, the ones near me didn't have all the feature I was looking for. It wasn't until I went to one of those outlet mall that had a Marshall that I found what I want. I got a 22" roller for $50 and 26" for $60, both american tourister. Very solid and sturdy. There were other brands too. For me, what I was looking for was to make sure that there is a hard cover surrounding the entire 26" roller. Some of the cheapers one don't have a hard cover on the back side of the luggage. I was also looking for sturdy wheels since that's what broke in mine in the previous one. Not sure about Costco's luggages.... don't have one here in Madison. |
