Which CompactFlash card? - mikebw - 05-10-2006

Ridata 2GB CF, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?DEPA=0&Item=20-183-164&ATT=20-183-164&CMP=OTC-dealram for about $55 shipped, no rebates

Or, Kingston 2GB CF, http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10390647&adid=17662 for about $60, or $50 after $11 rebate

This would be for a Nikon D70 for use in a wedding shoot, so looking for a reliable card fast enough to stay out of the way. Will entertain other options / opinions in this price range.

I ordered the Kingston Monday.

The Kingston is cheaper, and it is also from their premium "Elite" line meaning faster write times.

Sold out temporarily from Buy.com

The Ridata is rated 80x, vs. 13x on the Kingston, although these numbers don't usually translate into reality.
