SYF! (shave, ya fools) - Psurfer - 01-21-2011 Electric razor spray cleaner/lubricant. (It really works.) I spent amazing amounts of time this morning on Amazon to find a decent price on a can of either the Remington, or Philips Norelco version. Since my last order in 2010, price + shipping has gone up a lot, suddenly no one ships any for less than $8.xx ea. Walmart to the rescue -I knew that behemoth must be good for Something: Remington shaver saver $4.97 3.8oz (in-store only) Norelco HQ110 $2.49 4oz (order online only, free shipping to store) http://www.walmart.com/ip/Norelco-HQ110-Razor-Lubricant/14324458 poss alternative? Wahl $4.94 8oz (in store only, not listed on their website) Re: SYF! (shave, ya fools) - Doc - 01-21-2011 16oz of mineral oil sells for $2 bucks at my local drug store. Most electric razor and trimmer manufacturers recommend the use of mineral oil for cleaning and lubrication. Bonus: A bottle of mineral oil contains no toxic propellants. Another bonus: It can be ingested as a laxative. Re: SYF! (shave, ya fools) - decay - 01-21-2011 LOL lube Re: SYF! (shave, ya fools) - Jimmypoo - 01-22-2011 Were you using it to lube moving parts or as something to keep the foil from wearing prematurely? I generally don't have issues because I use a wet/dry Panasonic. I think the unit performs better on a dry face, but for second time around, to avoid burns, going with it wet (a touch of cream rinse, actually) is a definite winner. That or a clear, glycerin had soap lightly lathered on face. |
