Pop Photo Mag reviews Nikon D7k and Canon D60 - pRICE cUBE - 01-21-2011 They aren't a pro magazine but their reviews do offer real quantitate measurements. This is something very different from most reviewers on the net that use terms such as "seems faster" "blows away ____" and other non measurable terms. Canon 60D review http://www.popphoto.com/reviews/cameras/2011/01/tested-canon-60d Nikon D7000 review http://www.popphoto.com/camera-test/2011/01/lab-test-nikon-d7000 Re: Pop Photo Mag reviews Nikon D7k and Canon D60 - mrbigstuff - 01-21-2011 dpreview is still king of reviews, IMO. these reviews are pretty light, and only a step above a CNET type of review. I'm very interested to see what manufacturers will do in the FX area - will those cameras remain geared solely toward pros or will one of them see some possibility to introduce an entry-level FX camera.... I hope. Re: Pop Photo Mag reviews Nikon D7k and Canon D60 - Billybob - 01-21-2011 I got a good chuckle out of reading the reviews and the comments thereto. People are so passionate about which camera is better than the other when the reality is that these cameras are so close in IQ that if you can't get good photos out of any of these cameras (including the Pentax) with their respective kit lenses, you need to choose a different hobby. Buy a used D40 or DReb; add a nice prime lens, and go out and shoot! You have done it in the past so I was seeing if you were paying attention :wiggle: Re: Pop Photo Mag reviews Nikon D7k and Canon D60 - Wags - 01-21-2011 Billybob wrote: Its all about the glass. IMHO Canon wins by a nose, but only just. At that level of IQ, Canon or Nikon (or a few others too) as you say, it comes down to the eye in the viewfinder.
