Back Home In Denver - maco - 01-23-2011

That was a fun road trip from Florida. Glad I finally got to see the Keys.

That must have been a lot of driving. Sounds like a fun trip though.

About 2800 miles. I'm ready to go again. Wish I could.

Welcome back!

I know exactly what you mean maco. I'm always tempted to just hop in my car and drive to the coast, even if my driving winds up being a few thousand miles for a cup of coffee.

Thanks Chip. One fun road trip years ago was delivering a Porsche 911SC from LA to Charlotte, NC.

Back when I was in college, the rental car companies weren't so picky about renting to younger drivers. I used to have some fun seeing how many miles I could put on in a weekend.

Welcome back also. To high winds and flurries...

I remember practically every weekend in college contained some sort of road trip.

Hmmm, might want to check your odometer.

That must have been a blast in the Porsche! My wife and I take a road trip every year, driving scenic roads. My favorite was picking up a new Vette in Bowling Green, KY, in 2006, and driving it back to Seattle (6,100 miles, I think) to ship it home to Kauai. This year we did something similar ... picked up a new Ford F150 near Dallas and drove for a month before shipping it from Tacoma.
