CNN says.. US freezes $30B in Libyan Assets
Of course we'll have to give it back.. to the Libyan PEOPLE. Hmm. let's see... roughly $1,800 Int Dollars (2000 USD basis) annual income min wage. Population in the 6.5M range.
That would pay the WHOLE population for 2.5 years.

In all seriousness, Libya looks headed for civil war, in which case our military will end up involved.
I think it's interesting that Mubarak has ended up trapped in Egypt with his assets frozen, possibly facing criminal charges. I felt certain he'd get some golden parachute outta there.

Dakota.. NATO is already looking at a humanitarian mission. Air dropping MRE-Halal and blankets is a lot better than bombs.
