Letterman on the iPad2 - freeradical - 03-16-2011 http://tech.fortune.cnn.com/2011/03/16/dave-lettermans-got-an-ipad-2/ Re: Letterman on the iPad2 - space-time - 03-16-2011 but, can I watch that on an iPad? Re: Letterman on the iPad2 - Article Accelerator - 03-16-2011 Yes, we can. (Use the Youtube app.) Re: Letterman on the iPad2 - Rick-o - 03-16-2011 Bah. Letterman, like Leno, has seen better days. I haven't watched Letterman for a number of years except for a quick little blurbs such as the video posted. The top ten lists used to be funny. Now it looks like Dave phones it in. Stumbling over the words, trying to spit it out as fast as he can. It could have been way funnier if he didn't seem so bored. Maybe it's time for some of these relics to step aside? Re: Letterman on the iPad2 - Bernie - 03-16-2011 Almost live, is's "Late Nite with Charlie Sheen!" Ah, but I did say I watch the videos that are posted around the 'net such as above. AND, I channel surf and come across Letterman from time to time. IMO, he just doesn't have the same zing from years ago. It doesn't take a lot of watching to figure that out. Did you think the above video was funny? Did you think the above video was funny? i don't expect it to be funny so if I get a chuckle, then I'm cool with it. He still has some funny, but he seems tired and a bit dispirited. I think the scandal thing took a lot out of him. He no longer does audience bits, which were always funny. He just doesn't seem to be working as hard. But I'll always like him. Re: Letterman on the iPad2 - RAMd®d - 03-17-2011 But I'll always like him. Same here. But I still think he's funny. He's older now so he doesn't do a lot of his earlier schtick. He also used to be a jerk, treating more than a few guests pretty rotten. But he's outgrown that. Ferguson is the only other guy I'll watch. Even then I have back away for a while. Everybody else dips way too deep and often into the Sophomoric Well for their bits. They remind me of the current SNL people, not at all funny. I find Leno bad on just about every level except maybe his monolog. He can't interview his way out of a paper bag. |
