For anyone who might've installed the latest Xcode on top of iTunes 10.2.1... - john-o - 03-18-2011

Plugged my iPhone in this morning, and got this weird error: "iTunes was unable to load data class information...", and then another one saying it "...couldn't complete the backup." Did some googling, and found an Apple forum discussion where someone had discovered that it's an issue with Installing Xcode over the latest iTunes. One guy said you had to uninstall a bunch of stuff, then reinstall iTunes, but later posters found that a simple reinstall (without deleting anything first) did the trick. And, thankfully, that did the trick for me!

Thought I'd post here as well, in hopes of saving future searchers some trouble!!

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Thanks for the tip. I was wondering where that all came from yesterday.

You're welcome! I'm sure more than one of the folks here will run into it as well...
