I heard The Wife Said 'No' story this morning, related by Andy Ihantko.
As he said, I don't know if it's true, but I'd like to believe it is.
Maybe the husband got another one, paid for from his secret Hookers and Booze account and just put the note in there to fool his wife.
The story reminded me of a rumored incident about somebody getting caught by a red-light camera and sending in a photo of the check instead of the check.
In return mail, they got a pic of a pair of cuffs. That would be too funny, but I suspect that's the stuff of urban legend.
