Ah yes, interservice rivalry. For the unfamiliar, the "Security Men" in the original Star Trek series had much the same role as the USMC. While the squids and swabbies are safe on the big ship thingie, the gyrenes get tossed into the monster's jaws. You know.. the Few.. The Proud.. Lunch !
