yes, America's news announcers seem to have a bit of trouble with the difference between "Obama" and "Osama". They're learning to default to "bin laden" instead.
The NPR announcer flubbed it this morning "Obama had... uh, bin Laden had been killed". I chuckled. Having read news for a couple of years in college on the campus radio station, I know it ain't easy.
