Deal- 1TB 3.5" Seagate for $30 a/r - mikebw - 05-18-2011 Seagate ST31000520AS Barracuda LP Hard Drive - 1TB, 5900RPM, 32MB, SATA-3G http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=567358&csid=ITD&body=REBATES&SRCCODE=LINKSHARE&cm_mmc_o=-ddCjC1bELltzywCjC-d2CjCdwwp&AffiliateID=NKa3hZyYoHA-R.ASqC4kPCLcwbKzmdUcGg It's a $50 mail in rebate, but assuming you get it this is a great deal. Re: Deal- 1TB 3.5" Seagate for $30 a/r - freeradical - 05-18-2011 It's only a 5900 rpm drive, but that would be okay for backups. Did they mean 5400 rpm.? Was 5400 rpm a typo? Re: Deal- 1TB 3.5" Seagate for $30 a/r - mikebw - 05-18-2011 Nope, 5900rpm is correct- http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=9d373f15020b0210VgnVCM1000001a48090aRCRD Re: Deal- 1TB 3.5" Seagate for $30 a/r - rz - 05-18-2011 meh. Tiger Direct doesn't have the best track record when it comes to rebates. And Seagate is no longer the golden child in the hard drive world. Re: Deal- 1TB 3.5" Seagate for $30 a/r - mikebw - 05-18-2011 Well like I said, for $30 it would a good deal, assuming the rebate goes through. Regardless of brand, having a spare 1TB drive around is not a bad thing. |
