An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - hal - 06-21-2011 ![]() http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/An-illustrated-guide-to-the-Bruins-156-679-Fox?urn=nhl-wp7657 and the actual bar tab: ![]() I zoomed in and saw that ONE bottle of something cost $100000 and did a little research: ![]() In June 2011 Mark Cuban spent $90,000 on a 15 liter bottle (20 regular sized bottles) of Armand de Brignac in celebration of the the Dallas Mavericks' NBA Championship.[8]. A week later, the Boston Bruins "one-upped" the Mavericks' celebration by purchasing a 30 liter bottle of Ace of Spades "Midas" for $100,000. At the time of the purchases, the Midas bottle was one of six bottles in the world[9]. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armand_de_Brignac also notices that one bottle of champagne was comped :-) Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - Wailer - 06-21-2011 Haha. Cut off at 2am or else the coulda done some real damage. Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - evilrobot - 06-21-2011 fat down payment on that house I've been eyeing or a 100k champagne...hmmm.... and yes, how generous of the establishment to comp the single bottle of champagne. Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - (vikm) - 06-21-2011 Yay! Aren't they just a bunch of cool guys?! Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - Uncle Wig - 06-22-2011 Some happy bar owners there! But the Bruins have lousy taste in beer. Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - GGD - 06-22-2011 I wonder how the workers split the tips? That 18% service change was $18,000 just to serve that one bottle of champagne. Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - N-OS X-tasy! - 06-22-2011 So ONE bottle on that entire list is responsible for approximately 65% of that tab? That is friggin' INSANE. Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - GGD - 06-22-2011 N-OS X-tasy! wrote: It's actually higher than that, closer to 79% when you take into account the service charge (18%) and sales tax (5.4%). Works out to $123,400 for that bottle, and $33,279.74 for everything else. Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - hal - 06-22-2011 What really sickens me about that $100000 bottle is that they probably left it 1/2 full... oh... and this isn;t just ANY bottle: ![]() and remember - the guy drinking it here is 6'9", so the bottle is even bigger than it looks in the pic... Re: An illustrated guide to the Bruins’ $156,679 post Stanley Cup win bar tab - Wailer - 06-22-2011 I'm not looking at the bottle. |
