That Louisiana Storm looks headed to my hometown, I hope it is a weak one. Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - haikuman - 09-02-2011 OK a round of prayers all around *(:>* Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - decocritter - 09-02-2011 Saying Gulf Coast could get 20 inches of rain in some areas, Tropical Storm Lee. Georgia could get 2-4 inches of badly needed rain. I hope that is not all at one time. Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - Winston - 09-02-2011 decocritter wrote: Ville Platte? Breaux Bridge? Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - decocritter - 09-02-2011 Lafayette Brother in Milton Friends in Breaux Bridge Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - Winston - 09-03-2011 I grew up in N.O. and went to summer camp in North Carolina with lots of kids from south Louisiana. One good friend was from Ville Platte. Another friend I think was from Terrebonne Parish, but I don't remember the town. A girl I sort of liked (we never quite got together) was from Franklin. One of the guys was actually named Boudreau (kind of the protypical Cajun name). One of the extended McIlhenny family went to school with me in N.O. for 8th grade. We had a great class trip to Avery Island that year. Hope your family is OK with any flooding that occurs. - W Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - decocritter - 09-03-2011 Thanks Winston. Being that FEMA is broke, I am worried about this current hurricane season for all. We need a few National Disaster Breaks. Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - Winston - 09-03-2011 The potential good thing is that much of south Louisiana is in the same drought as Texas. The area needs some rain. If we're lucky, it will help with the drought and not do any major damage. - W Re: Typhoon Talas/Tropical Storm Talas - haikuman - 09-03-2011 Stay safe people .... and keep us posted . |
