Alternate iTunes visualizer program? - mikebw - 05-29-2006

So I am wondering if there is another program for OS X that can display cool visuals like in iTunes, but while iTunes is the program actually playing the music.
Get it- no?
So while I am playing music exclusively through iTunes, I want to have a separate program that can display visuals based on that music at the same time.

So here's what I am really trying to do-
Play music on my G5 using iTunes and on a second monitor have visuals playing, full-screen.

Any ideas?

The platinum edition of g-force includes a standalone application which can visualize any audio input. I don't have it -- I have the gold edition, and I think it's great -- so I can't say for certain it'll do exactly what you're asking.

But also know that if a cpu-intensive visualizer is running on one monitor while you're using the other one to get some work done, you won't get the greatest frame rates or resolution out of it.

Hmm, I might give that G-Force app a try. This would only be for playing and displaying music visuals, so no worries about overtaxing the CPU.
