But.. confusing. Isn't the homecoming queen supposed to date the football player who wins the Big Game ?
So she's... dating herself ?
The acceptance by the coach and rest of the team are excellent as well. Of course this IS the Ann Arbor area, so I'd expect a higher level of sensitivity.

IIRC, there was a woman who played goaltender for an NHL team.
I've heard that there are male ballerinas too.

She played in a few exhibition games in the NHL, but she had an otherwise very impressive career.

one of the cheerleaders at the older kid's HS is on the wrestling team, and another girl is on the football team. And last year a guy ran for homecoming queen.
