Apple Mail: any way to increase font size of some emails? - tuqqer - 02-13-2012 I sometimes get emails from friends whose font size comes through as around 5 or 6. So tiny, it's not readable until I Command-plus(+) it a few times. Aside from setting the preferences to change ALL emails to plain text (vs. Rich Text), is there any AppleScript I could run on certain email addresses that would automatically increase their email's messages to a readable level of 12 or 14? I've looked at the standard Rules settings, but none seem to allow a change of font size (or alternatively, a change from Rich to Plain text). Re: Apple Mail: any way to increase font size of some emails? - MartyStickle - 02-13-2012 I'm willing to bet those emails are coming from peecee users. No, I don't know what you can do except what you're doing. Re: Apple Mail: any way to increase font size of some emails? - tuqqer - 02-13-2012 MartyStickle wrote:I'm *positive* they are. Re: Apple Mail: any way to increase font size of some emails? - DewGuy - 02-14-2012 I use View>Message>Plain Text Alternative (Option+Command+P) to view them in plain text. As long as there's a menu option for it, it can be mapped to a keyboard shortcut, via System Preferences: Keyboard: Keyboard Shortcuts tab: plus sign. So I did just that. I wired Plain Text Alternative to F2, and then then Best Alternative to F3 (which puts it back, from Plain to Rich text). Both work perfectly! Brilliant, DewGuy! That is really a great tip! My best in months. Many thanks. Re: Apple Mail: any way to increase font size of some emails? - DewGuy - 02-14-2012 tuqqer wrote: Whoa. WHOA. That's it!
