Anyone using Kingston ValueRam in late 2011 MBP 15" - DharmaDog - 02-13-2012

Need to upgrade my work computer. I'm running virtual machines and a ton of web based stuff. Safari and other browsers eat up gobs of RAM. Want to go to 16GB in my Late 2011 MBP 2.2GHz.

I have to go through an approved supplier, and found one that carries 8GB Kingston ValueRam Dimms that should work, but I wanted to check here first.

Kingston part number is: KVR1333D3LD4R9S/8G. Would love to buy through OWC, but can't.

that p/n is for a kit of registered DIMMs that is not correct for the Macbook Pro. Also... I'd recommend against using Kingston's ValueRam parts vs. their tier 1 parts regardless - especially for a work/production environment.
