DVI cable maddness - wowzer - 03-12-2012

I am looking for a DVI cable to hook up my GeForce 8400GS video card to my Hannspree XM LCD.

The GeForce has a DVI with 4 little prongs on the right side of the receptacle. The Hannspree has a flat slot only.

Also, wikipedia shows the cables:
Video card has the DVI-I & LCD has the DVI-D (dual link):

Will this cable fit?

do I simply remove the 4 pins from one side?

Any of those will fit your 8800

Cable you linked to is perfect.

I would get a DVI-D cable myself, because of the monitor.

"I would get a DVI-D cable myself, because of the monitor."

Yes, DVI-D>DVI-D.

DVI-D will do everything, assuming it will plug into the socket.
