OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - pRICE cUBE - 03-14-2012 John Goodman, the founder of the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Fla., is being tried on charges of DUI manslaughter, vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash. He has pleaded not guilty, and faces up to 30 years in prison if he is convicted. The Houston multi-millionaire is charged in the death of 23-year-old Scott Wilson, a recent college graduate and civil engineer who was on his way to visit his family on the night of Feb. 12, 2010, when his car was struck by Goodman's Bentley in Wellington. http://gma.yahoo.com/john-goodman-wasnt-drunk-bentley-malfunctioned-defense-says-011739817--abc-news.html Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - cbelt3 - 03-14-2012 I expect Bentley will have some comment on that issue. "He ordered Mind Erasers, he ordered eight Mind Erasers," she said. "Now (a) Mind Eraser is Kahlua, vodka, tonic and somehow you mix it together and suck it down real fast through a straw." Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - haikuman - 03-14-2012 I just hate when my Bentley malfunctions *(:>* Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - mikebw - 03-14-2012 EDIT: Problems for the 1%. Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - mrbigstuff - 03-14-2012 a DUI is a DUI, whether it's a Bentley or a Yugo. the scumbag behind the wheel is to blame. Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - Rick-o - 03-14-2012 Heir to a multi-million dollar fortune? Yeah, he'll walk free. Best justice money can buy *IF* you can afford it. They'll probably charge the bartender for not realizing this sack of chit was drunk after eight "Mind Erasers" 8-) Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - C(-)ris - 03-14-2012 mrbigstuff wrote: If a DUI is a DUI then this guy shouldn't be treated any different than if you are I did the same thing. That would preclude the victim from getting any type of large settlement. Or are you saying a DUI is a DUI unless the guy is rich, then take him for all he has? Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - cbelt3 - 03-14-2012 DUI AND Leaving the Scene of a fatal accident. Yeah. He'll get off. Lots of legal precedents... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chappaquiddick_incident http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/August_Busch_IV#Fatal_accident_.28November_13.2C_1983.29 Re: OT: Drunk at wheel adopt his GF driver claims Bentley malfunctioned - datbeme - 03-14-2012 I wonder how many people skim this story and assume it's the actor. |
