Definitely see it first. A basic silly romP of testosterone fueled violence, without a functional plot. In short... Perfect.

If you're interested in the second, you're probably the type of person who would enjoy the first.
It's all about seeing those guys together, kicking butt, and blowing stuff up. Good fun.

DON'T WATCH EITHER
My god that first one was so bad - a buncha studs - each one gets equal treatment, gets to be equally cool, dropping inane macho one-liners the whole way through.
I can think of a dozen action movies released in the last year or two that I'd rather watch again than seen Expendables II.
The first one was hard to resist - I love a good brainless action movie, but it wasn't one of those at all. It was a bad brainless action movie.
