Re: awesome aperture discovery - Ombligo - 06-14-2012 Apple is really forcing software updates, essentially change or get stuck completely in the past. I'm starting to notice a very slight similar trend with hardware updates too. I can't help but wonder how long it will be that to update or run the latest version of any Apple software, or to upgrade an OS (iOS) will require new hardware. Do you have to update the application at the app store? Re: awesome aperture discovery - bazookaman - 06-14-2012 freeradical wrote: yep. When I bought Aperture I figured I'd get more than a year's worth of usage before EOL. Re: awesome aperture discovery - freeradical - 06-14-2012 I'm glad I got in on that free update to Lightroom 4 after buying a heavily discounted copy of Lightroom 3. Re: awesome aperture discovery - deckeda - 06-15-2012 I've had much more than "a year" from version 3 because I bought it when it came out. It's not EOL---your Mac is, if it doesn't run Lion or run it well enough. If it does, wait and toss $20 their way for Mountain Lion. There's your Aperture 3.3 update, and the current OS too.
