It must be frustrating not to be able advance worthwhile projects that would have easily processed not too very long ago due to the drooling barking hyenas on both sides.
Quite possibly some sour grapes thrown in for good measure.

I have to respect his decision. He refused to knuckle under to the ruling junta in the Republican party, they slapped him down and took away his committees. So he said to heck with it.

MY party....... Facepalm.

It's time for the Green party to step up and become the new Democrats... The Dems move a tiny bit to the right and become the new Republicans while the republicans become the new John Birch Society...

Because the Dems have too much that is anti-conservative. My version of conservative, which implies conservation.

I'm leaning more and more to the libertarian aspect, but I recognize that government has a function. Most libertarians these days sound more like Anarchists.

I've taken note that more and more people I meet, who are younger than me, in their early twenties, seem to embrace anarchism.

August--- yep. Then you explain to them the source of the services and infrastructure they use every day. That usually cures all but the most clueless or fanatical.

I listened to my daughter explain reality to a wild eyed anarchist wanna be last year. She made me very proud.

There are a lot of conservatives in the Democratic party. As hal mentioned, in many ways the Democrats resemble Reagan era Republicans.

You seem to have a very poor, or very personal understanding of anarchists.

If rustbelt never moved a muscle from the 80's to today he'd find himself a moderate Democrat. That he might be drummed out of the belt clan for such an acknowledgment might be a factor.
