Help me identify this song, Puh-lease! - Spiff - 09-07-2012
I've heard it on the radio in the last several months, so I assume it's rather new to the airwaves. Who knows how long it's actually been out. I do not know the lyrics, but love the music. I can describe it for ya, and maybe that will jog some ideas?
It starts, I believe with a rhythm section (drums section, not the dance trance type rhythm). It almost has a tribal sound to it. There is a choir backing up the lead vocals. The lead vocal, at times, sounds just like Freddy Mercury. Holy cow was I blown away at the similarities. Then other times, in quieter parts of the song, the resemblance is not so much. It's a very lyrical and musical song with the tribal type theme and choir backing up it all.
I've looked on the websites of all the local radio stations that play it here, and I've wasted a good hour without success. Any thoughts? It's driving me nuts.

Mika would be a good bet, but I'm finding songs/albums from 2009. I suspect this is recent.

I got their first CD for free from Amazon giveaways - I knew they would be a hit.
I made a few people a CD mix that included them. Nobody ever commented. The b@stards.
