Thanks!

Re: SNL debate spoof - mrbigstuff - 10-21-2012

that was good. unfortunately, it seemed like the best thing on the show. I didn't get the Brad Pitt thing until I saw later that it was satire.

Re: SNL debate spoof - $tevie - 10-21-2012

I'm going to check The Atlantic next Sunday and see if this is a regular thing that they do. That way I can start skipping SNL and just catch the good stuff the next day. :-)

The Bruno Mars in the costume in Times Square bit was funny. But then I love Bruno Mars.

It's been popular ever since Belushi died to declare that SNL does not meet one's minimum standard for humor. Has no actual relationship to the actual comedy value of the show.

The rest of the show was icy cold cr@p, including the debate-sketch (sad when recycled sh!t is popular just because it's not quite as bad as the usual recycled sh!t), but the Pandora sketch at least felt moderately warm, though far from fresh.

I wonder what would happen if they ever hired professional comedy writers for that show. Like those Franken and Davis guys. What ever happened to them?
