Those of you who work, and work outside the home-- do you have to wear a uniform?
I always swore I'd never have a job that required one, but, well... here I am.

Do surgical scrubs count?
I despise neckties suits and uncomfortable shoes.
We joke about being able to work in our pajamas although having to wear booties and hats are a pain.

Another retiree (sort of, stay-at-home-dad) so shorts and tshirt are my uniform. If I venture outside the house I do wear slacks and a nice shirt though. No need to look sloppy in public.
When I had a job we were required to wear a suit. The boss would always say that we would act more professional if we dressed professional. You'd have to be an idiot to buy into that but that's the way it goes with bosses. I always wondered how he thought we conducted ourselves on "casual" days which he endorsed.

Airline for 28 years.......saves on the clothing budget. The AS has its own, much more casual, uniform!

Presently:
Button-down shirt, tie and nice slacks... and a jacket with a logo when the weather gets chilly.
I think that we should get bonus money just for the time we spend slaving away in hot server rooms with buttoned-up collars and ties.

Nope, last time I did have to wear an uniform was 1978. It was in a print shop and they provided the uniforms and the cleaning. These days my daily attire is usually jeans and a decent casual shirt.
