Got my new passport in the mail today, 12 days after mailing in the old one with the paperwork. Thought it was gonna take 6 weeks.

Yes, they are very quick. Must have been all those folks they hired for the initial onslaught a few years ago. Don't pay for the expedited processing.

It varies widely... mine took two months in 2011, but a buddy just got his in a little over two weeks.
