Podcasts on iPod4? or just computer. - samintx - 04-10-2013
I am downloading a podcast programs and they are on my mac but I can't find on my iPod. Does the podcast just show up on my computer? In the APPS in iTunes a PODCAST icon appears but not on my iPod.
I have auto update on sync on.

Is your iPod4 actually one of the touch wheel models or an iPod touch?
If it is a touch, have you downloaded the Podcasts app? If not, you should be able to find the podcasts in the ... More section of the Music app. Otherwise, once the Podcasts app is present, the podcast will show up there and there only.

I show the app on my computer but it doesn't download to my Touch. Info says something about "music". I'll check again, download the PODCAST app again but I've never been able to get podcast to show up on the Touch since I bought it! Thanks.

When you sync the iPod in iTunes, make sure it's syncing the podcasts, too. Then, when you're in Music, Podcasts are one of the options on the bottom, along with Playlists and Audiobooks and Artists and whatever. (If it's not there, use the "More..." to get to it.

Also, do you have the Automatically Sync New Apps option selected in iTunes? That might explain why the Podcasts app does not make it to your touch.
If you do get the Podcasts app to your touch, the Podcasts option in the Music app will go away. This has not been an issue since Apple updated the Podcasts app a couple of weeks ago. It works a lot better now.

I'll double check but I don't see anything about sycing podcasts. Will keep trying with the suggetions.
