New Lamp Switch - pinion - 04-30-2013 I have a lamp that takes one of the smaller candelabra bulbs. I think it's E12? The problem is it has the switch on the power cord which is impossible to get to where I want to have the lamp at. Does anyone know how I can get a replacement bulb holder with a switch on it? Preferably something that would just screw in to the current bulb holder and have a switch on it. I'd rather not tear this thing apart. Re: New Lamp Switch - Marc Anthony - 04-30-2013 Would a Foot switch work? Re: New Lamp Switch - pinion - 04-30-2013 It would work but it's not really what I would want. Thanks though. I'll probably just leave it as is. This is actually what I got... I didn't realize she spent so much on it... http://www.lowes.com/pd_200707-87961-NFL-IND-462_4294798235__?Ntt=colt&UserSearch=colt&identifier=Lighting-Ceiling-Fans%2FAccent-Lamps&productId=3556570&rpp=32&Ns=p_product_price%7C0&searchQueryType=1 Re: New Lamp Switch - OWC Jamie - 04-30-2013 If it has the flat zip cord a snap on switch next to the base might be easy enough for ya and work. I wouldn't even take the other one off. Just remember it's there in case someone switches it off. ![]() Re: New Lamp Switch - Carm - 04-30-2013 What billb said. Those are between $2-3 a piece. Re: New Lamp Switch - pinion - 04-30-2013 That's pretty sweet! Thanks billb! Re: New Lamp Switch - OWC Jamie - 04-30-2013 Or just rewire it completely. Not hard to do, no joke I taught how to do it in high school for my "educational speech" in speech class. Put your own inline switch in wherever it suits you ![]() Re: New Lamp Switch - pinion - 05-06-2013 OWC Jamie wrote: I'm late to the party on your comment... sorry! I could rewire it, I have no problem messing about with electronics and what not and my soldering skills are pretty decent. I think I was just trying to avoid making any permanent changes to the lamp. Maybe I should just get one of those belkin plugs that's internet enabled so I can turn it on and off with my phone ![]() |
