iCloud account management info - sekker - 08-04-2013 This was a good read. http://9to5mac.com/2013/08/03/how-to-manage-your-icloud-accounts-storage-space/#more-280524 Basically, the reason I was slightly over my 5GB was that I was backing up over 2GB of photos from my iPhone. I transferred those photos to my main Mac photo library via photostream, turned off backing up photos temporarily, then deleted them (using the Photos and not the Camera app), then turned on backup via iCloud. This way, I stay under the 5GB (free) iCloud account, have my photos backed up and available via my Mac, and I now have more room on my iPhone (which was actually running out of space for more podcasts). |
