Thinking about digital cameras... - GuyGene - 08-15-2013 And, I've concluded that there's no use to even use the word "digital" in front of camera anymore. Re: Thinking about digital cameras... - freeradical - 08-15-2013 You'd be wrong about that. I shoot film. Re: Thinking about digital cameras... - Speedy - 08-15-2013 And you can follow it with "phone". Re: Thinking about digital cameras... - archipirata - 08-15-2013 I still have more film cameras than digital. But the film cameras aren't used nearly as much. Re: Thinking about digital cameras... - GuyGene - 08-15-2013 Oh well, I know there are a few who still use film, like, who's that famous photographer in California, Jose ? Who I think only uses film? I mean just for the majority of regular boys like me. Oh, and free, yes, I thought I was wrong one other time, but I was mistaken. Re: Thinking about digital cameras... - space-time - 08-15-2013 Camera obscura Re: Thinking about digital cameras... - AllGold - 08-16-2013 In the early days of digital in the news business, AP required us to put "Digital camera image" or just "Digital image" in the IPTC special instructions field. It was useful in the initial years because the early digital cameras could produce some pretty nasty stuff and it was important to explain why some images looked funky. But as cameras got better, that requirement lasted way too long and it got to the point where everything was digital (and looked as good or better than film) and we should have been putting "Film image" on the occasional non-digital image. Re: Thinking about digital cameras... - GuyGene - 08-16-2013 Yeah, that's the kind of thing I was thinking about, All. |
