Jobs movie buzz? - JPK - 08-16-2013

Gonna see it? Heard any buzz? Good, bad or other?

Watching the commercials is like walking down computer memory lane.

I have seen a couple scathing reviews. tilted acting, ignores much of Apple History. No mention of the iPhone or iPad, does not deal with his death.

at best it sounds like a video rental at some point

It's got Asston Kutcher in it. What else do you need to know?

Funny, I wouldn't have expected you to be an Ashton Kutcher fan.
Are you going to see it tonight?

Ashton Kutcher playing Steve? Is that supposed to be a joke?

I don't think Steve Jobs is hard to do. The problem is (may be) that this is a well known story. It's pre-spoiled. It would take a really good writer and director to make it compelling. If it's watchable, then that's good enough.

They picked Kutcher because he resembles Jobs, but from what I've read he doesn't act so much as imitate mannerisms.

Here's a review: "'Jobs' review: Kutcher's fine, but film's timing is off"
