Re: quick decision needed - timg - 08-16-2013 New model. Re: quick decision needed - DRR - 08-16-2013 Newer Re: quick decision needed - AllGold - 08-16-2013 The graphics are definitely better on the new model. But off the top of my head, I have no idea about the CPU performance. Re: quick decision needed - space-time - 08-16-2013 thanks, I thought so but I was not 100% sure. Newer, free gift, seems like no brainer. I assume also the newer CPU is more efficient despite the lower clock. Will send my wife's 2011 MBP to parents in law and give her the MBA. I would get it for myself but I really like my 2011 MBP quad i7 with high resolution matte screen ![]() Re: quick decision needed - space-time - 08-16-2013 ordered. Thanks guys Re: quick decision needed - cbelt3 - 08-16-2013 Applecare still on the 2011 MBP ? Be sure to transfer ! Re: quick decision needed - space-time - 08-16-2013 cbelt3 wrote: yes, Applecare till April 2014. transfer WHAT? I don't think you can transfer Apple Care. I will just buy new Applecare for MBA. EDIT: I was wrong, you can sometimes transfer AppleCare but this does not apply here. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5693?viewlocale=en_US If your Apple hardware product is replaced by Apple or a reseller while it is still covered by an AppleCare agreement, you can request a transfer of coverage to the new product. If you upgrade your product, you can transfer coverage to the new product, as long as the product originally covered by the agreement was purchased within the last 30 days and the new product is the kind that can be covered by the agreement. Re: quick decision needed - Filliam H. Muffman - 08-16-2013 Newer one, no question. Re: quick decision needed - cbelt3 - 08-16-2013 space- I just meant transfer it to the inlaws and to their country. http://www.apple.com/support/products/faqs.html Depending on the country, there may be complexities. A quick call to Apple is suggested. |
