which one, same price, newer model has lower clock frequency but a never version of CPU and also comes with a free gift (Parallels 8)

The graphics are definitely better on the new model. But off the top of my head, I have no idea about the CPU performance.

thanks, I thought so but I was not 100% sure. Newer, free gift, seems like no brainer. I assume also the newer CPU is more efficient despite the lower clock.
Will send my wife's 2011 MBP to parents in law and give her the MBA. I would get it for myself but I really like my 2011 MBP quad i7 with high resolution matte screen
. That thing is almost perfect except for USB2.0

yes, Applecare till April 2014. transfer WHAT?
I don't think you can transfer Apple Care. I will just buy new Applecare for MBA.
EDIT: I was wrong, you can sometimes transfer AppleCare but this does not apply here.

If your Apple hardware product is replaced by Apple or a reseller while it is still covered by an AppleCare agreement, you can request a transfer of coverage to the new product. If you upgrade your product, you can transfer coverage to the new product, as long as the product originally covered by the agreement was purchased within the last 30 days and the new product is the kind that can be covered by the agreement.
