Weird problem with IMAP email on my iMac - MartyStickle - 08-18-2013

Two IMAP accounts (one exchange & iCloud) are receiving new emails on my iphone but not the iMac. If I deselect the enable this account in Mail preferences (on the iMac) and then immediately re-select the account, the back emails come in. Why? How do I fix this? Thanks.

Intermittent connection problems.

Use Mail's Connection Doctor to verify that Mail can find both the IMAP and the SMTP server.

By opening the Connection Doctor window and looking for a green dot.
