Safari: "Remove all website data" - Marc Anthony - 08-30-2013

PSA: I've noted some buggy behavior under Safari 6.0.5, when trying to use the Remove all Website Data button in the privacy tab. I find that, more often than not, it only appears to work. You press the button and websites that are storing cache and cookies seem to get deleted, however, if you close and then go back to the preferences, the exact same sites will be there. You actually have to go into the details button and select the individual items and click remove—not remove all, which apparently suffers from the same bug as the one outside of the details window.

Weird bug? Can you duplicate on another Mac or at least a fresh user account on the same Mac?

Thanks for the PSA.

I only have one Mac with ML to test this, but the same issue is present on a fresh user account.

I've seen this on 10.8.6 with Safari 5.1.x. I just hit the dang button a few more times.
